**Ghanaian Movie Stars Hold Vigil for Mawuli Semevo**
A vigil was held for Mawuli Semevo at the National Theatre. The event took place on March 27, 2025. Many veteran and new Ghanaian actors attended to honor their colleague.
Notable attendees included David Dontoh, Fred Amugi, and Akofa Edjeani Asiedu. Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, a Member of Parliament, also participated in the vigil. Co-stars from the popular YOLO TV series were present as well.

Ken Fiati and Edinam Atatsi confirmed his passing. Tributes poured in from Naa Ashorkor and Serwaa Amihere, who had supported him during his hospital stay.
Mawuli suffered severe burns after a fire broke out while he slept at home. Beyond Burns International described his condition as dire and sought support for him.
