"Tap into somebody's blessings": Agradaa sends message to aggrieved NDC folks

Agradaa Addresses NDC Supporters About Sammy Gyamfi’s Dollar Gift

Agradaa, a controversial Ghanaian televangelist, spoke to National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters. She addressed the dollar gift controversy involving Sammy Gyamfi. In a video, she urged supporters not to be upset.

During a church service on May 11, 2025, Agradaa said Sammy Gyamfi gave her $800. She described this amount as small and insignificant. Agradaa encouraged NDC supporters to appreciate the gesture instead of complaining.

She stated, "Sammy gave me only $800. You are complaining about it." Agradaa emphasized that the money is not much when converted to Ghanaian currency. She advised supporters to pray for similar encounters with public officials who might give them money.

The controversy began after a video showed Gyamfi gifting multiple dollar notes to Agradaa at a funeral service. This act sparked outrage among Ghanaians questioning his actions as a public official. Following the backlash, Gyamfi apologized and explained his intentions were kind-hearted.

Despite his apology, many Ghanaians called for President John Dramani Mahama to investigate him for alleged corruption. Some members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) also demanded his removal from the Ghana Gold Board.

Social media reactions varied widely after Agradaa's comments about the dollar gift. One user claimed, "The money I saw was never $800." Another remarked that it went into "the wrong hands."

Earlier reports indicated that Chief of Staff Julius Debrah summoned Sammy Gyamfi over this issue. He was asked to explain why he gifted money to Agradaa during their encounter. The situation continues to draw attention from Ghanaians across social media platforms.
