"What's aborad": King Paluta blasts fan who says he doesn't have global hit song

King Paluta Responds to Fan's Claim About His Music

Ghanaian musician King Paluta has reacted to a fan's comment. The fan claimed he doesn't have a global hit song. This exchange happened during a live interview that gained attention on Instagram.

King Paluta, 33, expressed frustration over the remark. He is currently nominated for the Telecel Artiste of the Year award. During the interview with Pulse Ghana, he faced a dismissive tweet that read: "Lol King Paluta, do you know what a global hit is? Your songs haven’t even crossed the borders of Ghana."

Dressed in a white t-shirt and denim jeans, King Paluta addressed the critique. Many noted that he focused on his international travels instead of providing evidence of his music's impact abroad. Critics pointed out that he did not mention his chart positions or records set in Ghana.

Social media users shared mixed reactions to his response. One user joked about his Kumasi roots while another praised how he spoke. Some defended him by highlighting that not everyone can spell correctly.

Recently, King Paluta performed at the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards in Tarkoradi. A pundit criticized his performance, stating it fell short of expectations. They noted he mimed instead of delivering a live show as fans hoped.

Entertainment pundit Sally Mann previously questioned if King Paluta deserves the Artiste of the Year award. She argued that he lacks strong brand identity and a dedicated fan base for such recognition. This sparked discussions across social media platforms about his candidacy for the award.
