Obofour Builds Mansion in Kumasi to Honor Late Mother

Ghanaian prophet Reverend Obofour lost his mother, Afia Pokuaa, in February 2025. To honor her memory, he has built a multi-storey mansion in Kumasi. A video of the property has gone viral on social media.

The head pastor of the Anointed Palace Chapel (APC) is known as Obofour. His mother passed away and will be buried on Saturday, May 31, 2025.

In a video shared by YEN.com.gh, the new building is showcased prominently. The mansion construction began seven weeks ago and is nearing completion for the funeral.

Footage also shows upgrades to roads around Obofour's property for easier access during the event. He is recognized as one of Ghana's wealthiest preachers, often trending on social media with videos of his homes and cars.

Obofour invested significant resources into this project to ensure timely completion. Social media users praised him for creating such a grand memorial for his mother.

Reverend Obofour's mother, Nana Afia Pokuaa, was affectionately called Maame Ade Special. She died on February 27, 2025. Her funeral rites are scheduled from May 30 to June 1.

The events will start with a memorial service on Friday. This will be followed by lying in state and her burial on Saturday. A Thanksgiving service will conclude the activities on Sunday.

During a sermon after her passing, Obofour spoke about his mother's impact on his life. He expressed confidence that she would be happy wherever she is now.

He stated that while he is popular, his mother was even more famous than he is. He emphasized that death is a natural part of life and should not be feared.

Ghanaians reacted positively to the video of Obofour's mansion online. Comments included wishes for blessings and admiration for his efforts.

Some users questioned how pastors accumulate such wealth while others expressed respect for what he has done.

In related news, Rev Obofour recently reconciled with fellow preacher Adom Kyei Duah after their feud. He reached out with a letter expressing his desire for peace while addressing concerns about their past conflicts.
