"While some people laughed, I just worked harder" - King Promise on previous TGMA loss

King Promise shared his experience of being mocked. He lost all seven nominations at the Ghana Music Awards.

During his acceptance speech for Artiste of the Year, he spoke at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs). He encouraged fans to find inspiration in his journey.

"I want to thank the best fans in the world," he said. "If you have a dream, use me as an example of resilience."

"When I started, I had seven nominations and left with zero," he continued. "While some laughed, I worked harder because I believe in God's timing."

"Today, I am the chosen one," King Promise added. Last year, he lost Artiste of the Year to Stonebwoy after tough competition.

At this year's awards, King Promise won multiple honors. He received Afropop Song of the Year for 'Paris.' He also won Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste and Album of the Year for 'True to Self.'
