Lawyer Maurice Ampaw Criticizes Reverend Owusu-Bempah in Ongoing Feud
Maurice Ampaw has reignited his feud with Rev. Owusu Bempah. He criticized Bempah's political prophecies and church fundraising methods.
Ampaw accused Bempah of exploiting vulnerable church members. He noted that Bempah has not completed a church building after decades in ministry.
During a televised service, only 18 out of 100 members responded to a GH¢1,000 donation request. This raised only GH¢18,000 instead of the targeted GH¢100,000.
On his show, Ampaw called Bempah a crook who takes advantage of people. He monitored Bempah’s service after being insulted by him.
Ampaw stated that many pastors in Ghana have completed their projects. In contrast, he claimed that Owusu-Bempah's church remains unfinished after over 40 years.
He mentioned that former Vice President Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia donated cement for the construction. However, the project is still at the foundation level.
Ampaw questioned what Bempah has done with the money collected from congregants. He suggested that if charity regulations were enforced, Bempah would face scrutiny.
Earlier, Ampaw also warned businessman Richard Nii-Armah Quaye about spreading falsehoods regarding his wealth source. He claimed to know Quaye well and questioned how he made his money.
