Dag Heward-Mills Warns Critics: "You’re Finished If You Touch the Anointed"
Bishop Dag Heward-Mills has responded to critics. They criticized him for not paying his instrumentalists and singers in church.
During a sermon in Sierra Leone, he quoted a Bible verse. He stated it is wrong for anyone to touch anointed men of God.
In a trending video, he emphasized that only unwise people oppose God's word. He warned, "Come and slap me and see if there is oil on your hand."
He added that those who strike the anointing will face consequences. "You are finished if you touch his anointed," he said.
Heward-Mills continued, saying critics would not be dealing with a man but with the Holy Spirit. He believes God chooses whom to anoint.
Former artiste manager Bullgod shared his thoughts on this issue. He appeared on the entertainment program United Showbiz on April 19, 2025.
Bullgod argued that churches can afford to pay their musicians. He questioned why Heward-Mills wouldn't share some of his wealth with them.
He remarked, "If his statement is general nonsense, then I am sorry." Bullgod noted that everyone sees how far Heward-Mills has come since starting his church.
Social media users reacted to Bullgod's comments as well. Some defended Bishop Dag while others criticized him.
Eric Asomaning wrote that critics should respect Bishop Dag's legacy. William Owusu called pastors greedy and dismissed Jesus' value.
Ewuraba Papabi urged people to repent from their ways and seek forgiveness.
Earlier reports highlighted Dag Heward-Mills' stance on worship being devotion rather than a career. His comments have sparked significant discussion online.
