Communications Minister partners with young tech innovator to train Ghanaian youth

The Minister for Communication and Digitalisation, Mr. Sam Nartey George, has announced a new partnership. This collaboration is with tech innovator Malfred Kwame Kudu. The goal is to nurture technical skills among Ghanaian youth.

This announcement follows viral videos of Mr. Kudu's work in mobile phone technology. His craftsmanship gained widespread attention earlier this week.

Mr. George expressed his delight in hosting Mr. Kudu at the Ministry. He was impressed after meeting the young talent personally. "I received many videos of his excellent work," he said.

He reached out to Mr. Kudu and was amazed by his knowledge and skills. "Ghana is truly blessed," the Minister added.

After their meeting, Mr. George extended an offer from President John Dramani Mahama’s government. They proposed a collaboration for Mr. Kudu to train other young Ghanaians in mobile phone engineering.

Discussions are ongoing to include Mr. Kudu's expertise in a training program at the Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT. The aim is to institutionalize this training process nationwide.

“This will allow him to share knowledge widely,” said the Minister. He believes it will help position Ghana as a technology-diverse country.

“I look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership,” he stressed.
