Court grants GHC13 million bail to four over cocaine export attempt at KIA

A Circuit Court in Accra has granted bail to four individuals. They are accused of trying to traffic 73 slabs of cocaine. This occurred at the Swissport terminal of Kotoka International Airport (KIA).

The suspects were arrested during a drug smuggling operation. The cocaine was reportedly meant for export. Security checks at the airport's cargo terminal intercepted the drugs.

During their court appearance, the prosecution presented evidence against them. Despite this, the court granted bail to each suspect. The total bail amount is GHC13 million.

The case has been adjourned while investigations continue.
