Eight people have been arrested for violating sanitation regulations. They were caught dumping waste in the Central Business District of Kasoa.
An ad-hoc task force from the Municipal Assembly made the arrests. The offenders were caught in the act and taken to court. Some cases have already concluded, resulting in fines.
Seth Sabah Serwonoo-Banini, the Municipal Chief Executive, spoke to Class News. He announced plans for a permanent sanitation task force. This new unit will include personnel from various security agencies.
The task force will increase patrols and enforce sanitation laws more strictly. ASP Emmanuel Amponsah, the Kasoa District Police Commander, supports these efforts. He warned residents against breaking sanitation laws and stated that violators will face legal consequences.
