Mr. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah praised President John Dramani Mahama. He commended the establishment of Ghana’s National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving. He called it a bold and unifying initiative.
At a media briefing, Mr. Ankrah highlighted its significance. He said it goes beyond politics, religion, and ethnicity. It fosters togetherness and shared purpose among Ghanaians.
He noted that the occasion is for national reflection and gratitude. The theme is “Reflect, Reset, and Renew for National Prosperity.” This theme calls everyone to unite in hope and commitment.
In his keynote address, Ankrah stressed unity's importance for national development. He said the day allows Ghanaians to reflect on their journey—successes, failures, and resilience. It also helps them chart a renewed path forward.
He urged citizens to think about their role in Ghana's future. Their presence here is by divine design with a higher purpose.
Ankrah called for a national "reset." He asked Ghanaians to abandon blame, greed, and impunity. Instead, he encouraged embracing truth, discipline, and commitment to progress.
“We cannot continue doing the same things,” he stated firmly. Transformation requires a renewed mindset to advance the nation.
His message ended with an appeal for unity. He reminded Ghanaians that prosperity comes from collective effort and moral renewal. Belief in the country's potential is essential for success.
