GA/R: Tema Regional Police arrests two suspects for robbery in Ashaiman

The Tema Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects for a robbery. This robbery occurred on February 26, 2025, in Ashaiman, Greater Accra Region.

The first suspect, Karim Fatao, was caught on the same day. The second suspect, Wonder Babanawo, was wanted for multiple robberies. He was arrested on March 29, 2025.

Police found several items during their search of the suspects. These included a Ruger pistol with fifteen rounds of ammunition. They also recovered 30 mobile phone covers and six SIM cards. Additionally, they found dried plant material suspected to be Indian hemp. Other items included one Samsung tablet and three copies of land indenture.

After his arrest, Karim Fatao was taken to court and remanded into custody. Wonder Babanawo is still in police custody and will face court soon.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Dede Dzakpasu confirmed the arrests. He assured the public that police are committed to ensuring safety in the area.
