GA/R: Tema Regional Police arrests two suspects for robbery in Ashaiman

The Tema Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects for robbery.

The robbery occurred on February 26, 2025, in Ashaiman, Greater Accra Region.

The first suspect, Karim Fatao, was caught on the same day.

The second suspect, Wonder Babanawo, was wanted for multiple robberies. He was arrested on March 29, 2025.

During a search of the suspects, police found several items. They recovered a Ruger pistol with fifteen rounds of ammunition. They also found 30 mobile phone covers and six SIM cards. Additionally, there was dried plant material suspected to be Indian hemp. A Samsung tablet and three copies of land indenture were also seized.

Karim Fatao has been arraigned and remanded into police custody.

Wonder Babanawo remains in custody and will face court soon.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Dede Dzakpasu confirmed the arrests. He assured the public that police are committed to their safety and security.
