Charles Agbeve is the Member of Parliament for Agotime-Ziope. He is also on the Parliamentary Select Committee on Health.
He reaffirmed the government's commitment to a new 500-bed facility at Ho Teaching Hospital. This project aims to improve healthcare delivery in Ghana. It will also help position Ghana as a hub for medical tourism.
During a recent visit by the Health Committee, Mr. Agbeve spoke about the facility's importance. He noted it is part of efforts to strengthen healthcare in the Volta Region. The goal is to expand access to specialized medical services.
Mr. Agbeve assured that the government will ensure timely completion of the project. This is crucial to meet the growing demand for quality healthcare in the region.
He stated, "The new facility will address healthcare needs and attract patients from across the sub-region." This will enhance Ghana's prospects as a center for medical tourism.
The Health Committee’s visit was routine oversight work. They inspected healthcare facilities and monitored ongoing projects nationwide.
