Health Minister visits Tamale Teaching Hospital over alleged malpractice and facility concerns

The Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, visited the Tamale Teaching Hospital. This was an unannounced visit in response to serious reports of medical malpractice. These reports claimed that negligence led to a patient's death.

The visit followed viral social media posts over the weekend. These posts accused some healthcare workers at the hospital of mishandling the patient’s case. The Minister aimed to gather firsthand information about the incident.

During his tour, Mr. Akandoh inspected the public restroom facilities. He expressed deep concern over their poor condition. His reaction highlighted broader issues of sanitation and patient care at the hospital.

The Health Minister promised a full investigation into both the alleged malpractice and sanitary conditions. He assured the public that anyone found responsible would face disciplinary action.
