The International Kingdom University, in partnership with CAMO-GLO, is worried about drug abuse among Ghanaian youth.
This issue was highlighted at the 28th Global Doctoral Humanitarian and Ministerial Excellence Awards. The event took place in Kasoa, Central Region.
Apostle Dr. Edward Ofori Nti is the Dean of Student Affairs at the university. He stressed that the award ceremony recognizes societal contributors and addresses youth addiction. He noted that such events raise awareness and spark discussions on these critical issues.
Dr. Prophet Onyame Gya, a clergy member honored at the event, also spoke out. He warned young people about the dangers of using illicit drugs. He urged religious leaders and community organizations to work together to educate youth on drug abuse risks.
The event highlighted a shared commitment to fight substance abuse among young people. It emphasized the need for community efforts to tackle this growing concern.
