Koforidua High Court dismisses election petition against Annoh Dompreh, awards GH¢25,000 cost

The High Court in Koforidua has dismissed an Election Petition.

This petition was filed against Mr. Frank Annoh Dompreh, the MP for Nsawam-Adoagyiri.

The court affirmed his victory in the 2024 general elections.

His Lordship Krofa Addae presided over the case.

Gary Nimako Marfo, the NPP's Director of Legal Affairs, filed for dismissal.

The petition challenged Annoh Dompreh’s election legitimacy.

After reviewing the arguments, the court found no merit in the claims.

It subsequently struck out the petition.

Additionally, the court awarded GH¢25,000 in costs against the petitioner.

Mr. Frank Annoh Dompreh is currently the Minority Chief Whip.

He was elected to represent Nsawam-Adoagyiri in December 2024 polls.

This ruling ends any legal challenges regarding his parliamentary seat.

The judgment is a significant win for the NPP.

It reinforces Annoh Dompreh's electoral mandate legitimacy.
