The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) intercepted a large amount of suspected cocaine. This happened at the Swiss Port in Tema. The drugs were meant for shipment to the Netherlands.
On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, NACOC seized seventy-three slabs of suspected cocaine. The total weight of the drugs was 89.74 kilograms. Officials found the concealed drugs while they were being packaged for export.
Four individuals have been arrested in connection with this case. They are currently in NACOC custody as investigations continue. Authorities have not released their identities yet.
NACOC is working to uncover the full network behind this operation. This bust is part of recent efforts by NACOC to combat drug trafficking through Ghana's ports.
NACOC has promised to protect the country's borders. They are also collaborating with international partners against transnational drug trafficking networks. Further updates will be provided as investigations progress.
