The National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) has seized a vehicle loaded with cocaine.
The truck contained about 120 slabs of cocaine. The street value is approximately $150 million.
This incident occurred on April 3, 2025, at around 4:30 PM. The Hogvan truck was stopped on the Takoradi-Cape Coast highway.
During questioning, the driver named Charles Hagan, also known as "Panya." Hagan is a former NDC parliamentary candidate for Sekondi in the 2020 elections.
Hagan was later arrested by the bureau. However, he has reportedly been released due to his political ties with the NDC.
There are claims that NDC officials are trying to cover up the situation. Sources say Charles Kippoh, the NIB director, is in contact with the presidency. They are allegedly trying to halt investigations and free Hagan.
