The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, provided an update on the party's National Chairman, Stephen Ntim. He clarified that Ntim has not abandoned the ongoing "Thank You" tour.
Ntim had to attend to urgent matters in Accra. However, he is expected to rejoin the team soon.
Mr. Kodua spoke to the media about this situation. He noted that Ntim was actively involved in the tour just a day before. “The National Chairman was with us even yesterday,” he said.
Kodua mentioned that they visited Adansi Asokwa, Bekwai, and other locations together. An emergency required Ntim to return to Accra for resolution.
He emphasized that sustaining the party involves more than just the "Thank You" tour. “The work we are doing for the party is huge,” he stated.
He also pointed out that their National Organiser was absent due to preparations for an upcoming demonstration. This is similar to why Ntim needed to hold meetings with their Council of Elders.
Mr. Kodua stressed that Ntim’s temporary absence should not be seen as disengagement from the tour. “It is not true that he has abandoned the tour,” he assured. “He will return to join us on the tour.”
