Police arrest Jamestown man seen firing gun in viral video

The Ghana Police Service has arrested a man from Jamestown. He was seen in a viral video firing a gun.

The suspect is 29-year-old Samuel Aryeetey Kortor. He was arrested on April 9, 2025, during an intelligence-led operation.

Police investigations show that Kortor is wanted by the Homicide Unit. He is linked to an ongoing murder case.

Officers searched his home in Gbese-Jamestown. They found a Beretta pistol with serial number PX-195994.

Samuel Aryeetey Kortor is now in police custody. He is helping with the investigations.

The police are also working to arrest others involved in the incident.
