Radio host issues clarification over GIHOC CEO allegations aired on Accra 100.5 FM

Nana Otu Darko, a broadcaster at Accra 100.5 FM, issued a clarification. This followed a segment aired on Saturday, May 3, 2025. The segment discussed unverified allegations against the CEO of GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited.

In a press release dated Monday, May 5, 2025, Darko acknowledged the issue. He stated that the initial report was framed as unconfirmed allegations. However, it may have misled listeners about the CEO’s conduct.

Darko emphasized that he clearly stated the claims were unverified. He had not received a response from the other side at that time. Despite this clarity, he admitted it may have unfairly portrayed the CEO negatively.

The original broadcast raised concerns about certain purchase orders. Darko now admits those figures were misinterpreted and miscalculated.

"We have re-analyzed the related purchase orders," he said. "We will disclose the accurate price per litre publicly on the show."

After further investigation and allowing the GIHOC CEO to respond, Darko concluded that earlier statements were incomplete.
