V/R: Agbozume residents urgently appeal for help as broken water system deepens water crisis

Residents of Agbozume in the Volta Region are in crisis. They are calling on the Ghana Water Company and the government for help. Their water system is broken, causing a severe shortage.

This issue is known as the "Agbozume Water Challenge." Hundreds of households lack access to clean drinking water. Residents must walk long distances to find this basic necessity.

The lack of potable water affects health and hygiene. It also lowers the overall quality of life. One resident expressed frustration, saying, “We have children and elderly people who are suffering. We just want water—something every human being deserves.”

The broken water system has not been fixed for months. Locals feel their complaints have gone unanswered, leading to growing frustration. Community leaders and residents are appealing directly to the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) for urgent action.

They want a reliable water supply restored to their area. The situation raises public health concerns as some residents use unsafe water sources.

With no immediate solution in sight, Agbozume's residents hope for swift action in response to their plea for help.
