V/R: Gov't reaffirms commitment to Keta sea defence project – Alex Segbefia

Alex Segbefia, Chief of Staff at the Office of the Vice President, visited Keta. He assured residents that the government is committed to completing the Keta Sea Defence Project. This project aims to reduce environmental threats faced by local communities.

Mr. Segbefia spoke on behalf of Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang. He joined the people of Volta Region in celebrating Easter festivities. He was accompanied by Volta Regional Minister James Gunu during their tour.

They visited several communities, including Keta, Alakple, and Kedzi. In Alakple, Mr. Segbefia made a financial donation for a CHPS compound and road project. This support aims to improve healthcare delivery and local infrastructure.

He emphasized that the Keta Sea Defence Project is a government priority. It is part of a broader strategy to combat coastal erosion in vulnerable areas along Ghana’s coastline.

Mr. Segbefia thanked the people for their support of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2024 elections. He reassured them that the government is dedicated to addressing development challenges in the region.
