Residents are anxious about more severe flooding this rainy season.
The nearly two-hour rainfall was the heaviest in years.
It overwhelmed the town's main drainage systems.
No fatalities were reported, but there was significant property damage.
Many residents were displaced and business activities halted.
For over two hours after the rain stopped, areas remained impassable.
Both vehicles and pedestrians faced movement restrictions.
Bright Kwadzo lives in Ho-Tsiyikpota and his home was severely affected.
He urged authorities to improve drainage in road projects.
This would help water flow during heavy rains.
Another resident, Celestine Attipoe, warned against building on waterways.
She said our actions make us vulnerable to floods.
Residents are calling on the Municipal Assembly for immediate relief support.
They also seek long-term solutions to prevent future flooding in Ho.
