V/R: Residents of Hofedo protest fuel station, call for relocation

Residents of the Hofedo Electoral Area in Ho municipality are worried. A new gas station is being built behind their homes. This is especially concerning for those near the Church of Pentecost on C.K. Road.

Community members want city authorities to ensure their safety. They also want protection for their properties.

Five years ago, Town and Country Planning officers informed residents about a proposed filling station. After careful assessment, the community rejected this proposal. The officers did not return after that.

Recently, residents noticed construction had started on the disputed land. This discovery alarmed them greatly. The rapid progress of construction at night raised suspicions.

Residents told Class News that this project violates their civil liberties. They urged immediate action to protect their community.

Ho Municipal Chief Executive Stephen Adom spoke with concerned residents. He assured them that the matter would be investigated thoroughly. He promised to address it in the best interest of everyone involved.

In response, project owner Mr. David Debre stated he secured all necessary permits before starting construction.
