Veteran actor Koo Fori arrested for alleged $50,000 fraud

Veteran Ghanaian actor Samuel Karikari Seth K-Okyere, known as Koo Fori, has been arrested. The Accra Central Police Command took him into custody. He is accused of defrauding a US-based Ghanaian of $50,000.

Reports say he received money from a Ghanaian in California. He promised to help buy land in Ghana. After receiving the funds, Koo Fori did not fulfill his promise and went into hiding.

What started as a legitimate investment has become a legal issue. The victim reported the case after failing to contact the actor multiple times.

Sources indicate that Koo Fori missed several court appearances at the Dansoman Circuit Court. This led to a bench warrant for his arrest being issued.

His arrest aims to ensure he faces justice for the charges against him. Investigations are ongoing, and updates from the Accra Central Police Command are expected soon.
