Akufo-Addo commissions 4 district hospitals in Ashanti Region

President Nana Akufo-Addo has officially opened four 40-bed district hospitals in the Ashanti Region, located in Drobonso, Sabronum, Twedie, and Suame.

These hospitals are part of a larger project that aims to build 12 hospitals across Ashanti, Eastern, and Greater Accra regions, as well as a polyclinic in Brong Ahafo.

Funded by a €71.5 million loan from Erste Group Bank AG and Česká Spořitelna a.s., the facilities, built by VAMED Engineering GmbH, offer advanced healthcare services, including outpatient, public health, and maternity departments, as well as surgical theatres.

Akufo-Addo urged the local communities and staff to ensure the hospitals are well-maintained to fulfill the government’s healthcare goals.
