Korle Bu CEO urges immediate action to stop exodus of health workers

Dr. Opoku Ampomah, CEO of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, is alarmed by the rising number of doctors and nurses leaving Ghana for better opportunities abroad.

He cited concerns over losing experienced professionals and the negative impact on hospital operations.

The 2022 Ghana Human Development Report revealed that many healthcare workers are moving overseas due to poor local conditions.

In response, Korle Bu is creating new job positions and improving career advancement to retain staff and address the issue.
