Korle Bu Teaching Hospital suspends acceptance of new mortuary cases for six weeks

Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) has announced a six-week suspension on accepting fresh bodies and Brought-in-Dead (BID) cases to allow for necessary refurbishments to its cold room facilities.

Management stated the renovation is aimed at improving service delivery.

This suspension will not affect cases originating from within the hospital.

Bereaved families with relatives in the mortuary for three to six weeks or more are advised to make burial or transfer arrangements to alternative facilities.

The hospital management extended an apology for any inconvenience and thanked the public for their cooperation as they work to enhance the quality of their services.
