Korle Bu renal patients threaten to picket over consumables stuck at Tema Port

Renal patients at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital plan to picket on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, due to a three-week closure of the Renal Unit caused by a shortage of essential medical supplies stuck at the port.

Patients, facing unaffordable private dialysis costs, are demanding the government expedite the release of these supplies.

The hospital's spokesperson, Mustapha Salifu, assured that efforts are underway to resolve the issue, but patients, led by spokesperson Kojo Baffour Ahenkora, express frustration and vow to stay at the hospital until their demands are met.
