The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed 26 new Mpox cases. This brings the total number of infections in the country to 45.
These new cases were reported on May 31, 2025. The Ministry of Health announced this update on Facebook on June 3.
Despite the increase in cases, no deaths have been recorded. Currently, two people are receiving treatment for the virus.
The rise in cases is due to better surveillance and contact tracing. These efforts help detect and isolate infections quickly within communities.
Health authorities urge the public to follow basic safety practices. This includes avoiding close contact with anyone showing symptoms.
People should maintain good hygiene and visit health facilities if symptoms appear.
The GHS will provide regular updates every Tuesday on social media. Officials are calling for public cooperation to help contain the outbreak.
