Nurses' accomodation top priority as Awudome Anyirawase celebrates Easter

The Chiefs and people of Awudome Anyirawase are preparing for Easter. This celebration aims to raise funds for housing health workers in their community.

Awudome Anyirawase is a farming community in the Ho West District of the Volta Region. They started building a 4-unit, two-bedroom apartment for health staff at the CHPS Compound.

The project began last year but faced financial challenges that stalled progress.

To complete the facility, the community will use this year's Easter celebration to encourage contributions. They hope both local and international citizens will help fund the project.

Community elders stressed that finishing the accommodation is crucial. It will motivate nurses to stay and serve without housing issues.

In rural Ghana, nurses face many difficulties, including poor housing and infrastructure. Awudome Anyirawase aims to attract health workers by improving living conditions.

The community is appealing for support from generous Ghanaians to finish the project. This will enhance conditions for healthcare workers in their area.

The Easter celebration is called "Dumeviza," with the theme "Yes! Together We Can." It will feature various activities from April 14 to 21.
