Executive Secretary of the National Interest Movement, Susan Adu-Amankwah, has criticised what she calls “reckless grandstanding” by politicians making unverified allegations that could damage Ghana’s international reputation.

Speaking on Joy News’ Newsfile, she took aim at MP Rev. John Ntim Fordjour for publicly raising suspicions about aircraft linked to drugs and money without offering proof.

Adu-Amankwah questioned why such serious claims weren’t first reported through official security channels, stressing that responsible leadership demands discretion, not drama. She warned that such actions tarnish Ghana’s image globally, regardless of political affiliation.

“Outside, we are seen as Ghanaians—not NDC or NPP,” she said, urging politicians to put national interest above partisanship.

She called for stronger non-partisan cooperation on national security and drug enforcement to preserve the country’s dignity and safety.
