2024 Election: We’ve learnt our lessons – NPP General Secretary

Justin Frimpong Kodua, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), spoke about lessons learned from the 2024 election defeat.

He addressed supporters at the NPP headquarters on Wednesday. Mr. Kodua apologized to Ghanaians for the party's shortcomings in power. He acknowledged that many people felt disappointed.

“To our supporters and Ghanaians who were let down, we have heard you,” he said. “We reflected on everything that happened during our time in office.”

He noted that while they worked hard on infrastructure and policies, not everything was done right. “On behalf of the National Party, we are sorry for the disappointment,” he added.

Mr. Kodua promised to correct past mistakes if given another chance in 2028.

“We have learned our lessons,” he stated. “The restructuring will help us get back on track.”

He expressed hope that with God's grace, they would receive a mandate in 2028. “All wrongs will be corrected for a better government under our chosen flagbearer,” he assured.

The Thank You Tour is led by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the 2024 presidential candidate and former Vice President. This tour aims to reconnect with grassroots supporters and express gratitude nationwide.
