Legal practitioner Kwaku Azar questions the current Chief Justice's position.
He believes Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo is not fit for her role.
Azar argues that she should not negotiate Supreme Court appointments with the president.
In a social media post, he stated, “Time will tell nothing.”
He emphasized the need to punish wrongdoers in leadership positions.
Azar referenced past events involving political figures.
He asked if Annoh Dompreh did not petition Mahama to remove Lauretta Lamptey from CHRAJ.
He noted that Mahama appointed a committee after this petition was filed.
Mahama suspended Lamptey while the committee investigated her case.
Ultimately, he removed her based on the committee's advice, despite her NDC affiliation.
Azar also mentioned Commissioner Osei’s removal by Akufo-Addo after a petition.
He questioned what has changed since then.
Should we keep a Chief Justice who negotiates with the president?
His conclusion: “Because, what? Da Yie!”
