A-Plus apologizes to Attorney General Dominic Ayine over unsavory Facebook post

Kwame Asare-Obeng, MP for Gomoa Central, has apologized to Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine. This follows a Facebook post he made after Dr. Ayine's comments at a press conference.

In a statement on May 3, A-Plus explained the situation. He said a fake Twitter account impersonated him and accused Dr. Ayine of corruption. A-Plus clarified that he never made those accusations.

He admitted to posting on Facebook but recognized his tone was inappropriate. "I sincerely apologize to Hon. Dr. Ayine and the public," he stated.

A-Plus also denied any involvement in the alleged scandal with the National Service Secretariat (NSS). "I have no knowledge of this matter and no connection to it," he said.

He emphasized that he never received payments from NSS or had business dealings with them. His only involvement was when someone sought his help in November 2024 regarding false accusations.

"If my support is seen as suppressing the case, I disagree," he added. He believes every accused person deserves to be heard.

A-Plus urged Dr. Ayine to share any contrary information publicly. "Transparency and accountability must be our shared responsibility," he stated.

As a sign of remorse, A-Plus has deleted the controversial Facebook post.
