A Plus hasn’t been removed from Majority caucus – Mahama Ayariga

The Majority Leader in Parliament, Mahama Ayariga, has denied media reports. These reports claimed that Kwame Asare Obeng, known as A Plus, was removed from the Majority Caucus WhatsApp group. This followed a reported disagreement with Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine.

On May 3, 2025, Ayariga issued a statement. He called the report from GhanaWeb “entirely false and misleading.” He emphasized that his office had noticed the publication titled: "A Plus reportedly removed from Majority Caucus WhatsApp platform following feud with AG Ayine."

Ayariga clarified that A Plus is still an active member of the Majority Caucus. He confirmed that A Plus remains on the official communication platform.

“For clarity,” he stated, “Hon. Kwame Asare Obeng remains a full member of the Majority Caucus.” He added there has been no removal or decision to remove him.

Ayariga urged GhanaWeb to retract their article and correct the misinformation.
