AG’s openness on high profile cases commendable – Justice Abdulai

Private legal practitioner Justice Abdulai has defended Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine’s approach to publicly addressing high-profile cases, including the trial of former Ghana Signals Bureau Director-General, Kwabena Adu-Boahene.

Speaking on Channel One TV’s ‘The Big Issue,’ Abdulai praised Dr. Ayine’s openness, arguing that transparency fosters trust and accountability in governance.

He contrasted this with the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), which he said lacks public visibility, leading to doubts about its effectiveness.

Abdulai noted that while the OSP may be active behind the scenes, its low profile fuels public skepticism.

He commended Dr. Ayine’s transparency, insisting that a more visible and proactive approach is necessary to uphold the rule of law and maintain public confidence in justice institutions.
