Tensions remain high in Ablekuma North as the parliamentary election winner is yet to be declared after another chaotic incident at the Electoral Commission (EC) office.

NDC parliamentary candidate Ewurabena Aubynn has accused her opponent, NPP’s Akua Afriyie, of employing manipulative tactics to hold on to power despite an apparent voter preference for change.

“She feels entitled and refuses to accept defeat. The majority voted for development and a new direction,” Aubynn stated.

The situation escalated when an NPP official allegedly slammed a table in protest, igniting a scuffle among party supporters.

The EC has yet to issue an official statement as observers urge calm and due process to resolve the dispute and declare a winner.
