Bono Regional NPP Chairman, Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye, is set to appear before the National Investigation Bureau (NIB) today regarding corruption-related allegations involving President Mahama and his administration.
A letter signed by Bono Regional Commander Kwaku Afari summoned him to the NIB office in Kwawukudi for questioning.
However, critics, including activist Oliver Barker-Vormawor, view the move as an intimidation tactic.
Barker-Vormawor cautioned the Mahama-led government to be measured in its approach, warning that such actions could undermine public confidence.
The invitation has sparked political debate, with concerns raised over whether the investigation is a genuine pursuit of accountability or a targeted crackdown on opposition voices.
