Adum: Former NUGS President condemns deployment of military officers

Daniel Oppong Kyeremeh, the former president of NUGS, criticized the military's presence in Adum Bluelight. This followed a disagreement between police and traders.

On March 21, 2025, a fire affected thousands of traders in Kumasi's central business district. Kyeremeh visited the area to assess the damage and support those impacted. He expressed disappointment with how city authorities are managing the situation.

Kyeremeh promised to advocate for the traders through Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and other relevant authorities. He donated 50 bags of cement and GH₵10,000 to aid rebuilding efforts.

He stated that youth should also contribute to helping victims. "We decided our donations shouldn't rely solely on politicians," he said.

Kyeremeh emphasized their commitment to supporting affected families throughout this process. He noted concerns about security personnel attacking traders during this difficult time.
