Adum: Military intervenes as traders storm restricted area

Tensions rose in Kumasi’s central business district on Thursday. Military officers were deployed after a large invasion by traders. Hundreds of traders entered the Adum Blue Light area, ignoring restrictions.

These traders broke through a police cordon to trade. This action overwhelmed initial law enforcement efforts and escalated the situation. Authorities then called in the military to restore order.
