Adwoa Safo shows up for NPP meeting despite alleged postponement

Former Dome-Kwabenya MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo, made an unannounced appearance at the NPP headquarters on Monday, despite reports that the party had postponed her disciplinary hearing indefinitely.

Safo explained she had not received any formal notice of the suspension and was therefore fully prepared to face the committee.

“I haven’t been personally served,” she said, adding that she had spent time with her legal team preparing for the meeting. She noted that the precedent was for her to be personally notified, which did not happen this time.

Her unexpected arrival drew a crowd of loyal supporters who gathered in solidarity.

The hearing was originally scheduled to address comments she made on national TV which the party deemed contrary to its internal communication rules.
