President John Dramani Mahama of Ghana has called for Africa to heal from its past.
He believes that healing will help Africans realize their potential.
The president shared this message during his Africa Union (AU) Day speech.
He emphasized that Africa Day 2025 should mark a turning point for the continent.
“Happy Africa Day! Let us work together for a better future,” he said.
He urged for justice and healing from past wounds.
Mahama stressed the importance of realizing the potential of all Africans and people of African descent.
He declared, “Let Africa Day 2025 be a turning point.”
The president encouraged unity in pursuing a just and equitable future.
As the AU’s champion for reparatory justice, Mahama reaffirmed his commitment to this cause.
“The AU has declared 2025 as the year for justice through reparations,” he stated.
“I am dedicated to working with everyone to achieve this goal.”
