Akufo-Addo chairs National Honours as final act in Office

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will preside over a National Honours and Awards ceremony today, December 30, as one of his last official duties before leaving office.

The event, held at the Accra International Conference Centre, aims to celebrate individuals who have made exceptional contributions to Ghana’s development.

The ceremony features five award categories, including the Order of the Star and Eagles of Ghana and the Order of the Volta.

Nominees have been invited to attend with up to two family members and are encouraged to dress in formal or traditional attire such as Kente or Fugu.

The awards highlight the value of selfless service and national excellence.
