President Akufo-Addo has dismissed a petition by the Coalition of Concerned Nzema People, which challenged the government's acquisition of 20,000 acres of land in Bonyere, Western Region, for a $60 billion Petroleum Hub project.
The coalition had argued that the project would harm local livelihoods and requested a reduction in the land size to 5,000 acres.
However, the President's office stated that all legal requirements, including stakeholder consultations, were met, and a 2021 High Court ruling supported the project.
The petition was dismissed, and the project would proceed as planned.
