Former Youth and Sports Minister, Mustapha Ussif, has raised alarm over rising violence allegedly perpetrated by NDC supporters after their December 2024 electoral victory.

Speaking in Parliament on January 22, the Yagaba-Kubori MP urged President John Mahama to take swift action to restore order and protect the peace inherited from Nana Akufo-Addo.

Ussif cited attacks on public institutions, including the sacking of staff at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and the closure of the Yagaba-Kubori district assembly office.

He also revealed threats to his own home after providing electricity poles for his constituency.

He criticized the NDC's inability to control their supporters and called on the government to prioritize security and prevent further disruptions to Ghana’s democratic stability.
