Amaliba questions Godfred Dame’s credibility, endorses Dominic Ayine’s integrity

Private legal practitioner Abraham Amaliba has expressed strong confidence in Dr. Dominic Ayine’s credibility over former Attorney General Godfred Dame, citing past prosecutorial actions as key distinctions.

Speaking on Channel One TV, Amaliba highlighted Ayine’s willingness to prosecute a fellow government appointee, contrasting it with Dame’s decision to discontinue an investigation involving a colleague.

He also referenced the Jakpa case, arguing that Dame’s actions could have led to disbarment in other jurisdictions.

Amaliba stressed that different legal perspectives influence case handling but maintained that the Court of Appeal’s ruling justified discontinuing certain prosecutions.

“If you now have all this evidence before you as Attorney General, how do you continue?” he questioned.
