The NDC has refuted claims of plea bargain requests by Richard Jakpa in the ambulance purchase trial involving Dr. Ato Forson.
Attorney-General Godfred Dame alleged Jakpa sought negotiations to implicate Forson. NDC Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has denied such requests, clarifying that Jakpa's letters were settlement proposals rejected by the AG.
He emphasized no plea bargain meetings occurred as claimed by the AG.
Nketiah also highlighted that communications between the AG and Jakpa predated any settlement proposals.
The NDC aims to debunk the AG's assertions, asserting that no formal plea bargain negotiations took place throughout the trial.
